11/8/2009 My Whinges! The last month we started showerly weather for couple of weeks But we don't complained about that.
Our dams are higher than at this time last year.
Now we have hot weather these days and we have complaining it's too hot.
Roses are today the stars of the horticultural world having survived the long drought and the appalling heat,
but over 30 Degrees Celsius temperature for a weeks not good news.
Melbourne weather's are it mostly beautiful because even that hot weather 35c or 40c we have then after evening time coming down the temperature 17c or more,I could stopped used air condition and very seldom keeps hot in the night.
Stop backseat driving! My friend has complained for when I used a brakes just before the red light( I don't slam down the brakes)
that I will resent very much and I was going said that case next time "you drive yourself" But I didn't said to her.
This was a last week I invited my friends in my house when my gardens are pretty times lol!
there I went to shopping at the Chinese shops and I look around to get all items which I writtin down a piece paper for I need to cook.
A ladys coming to help me...she said this is a not good for you "too much MSG in the items"
After couple days late I hear about that ladys was just help for the days in the shops.
The messanger: Why we have that? it to me pretty eye sore view! I'd rather not have in my space ONLY my family or few friends.I felt good now!
10/31/2009 Whither the garden?Living in Australian suburbia has traditionally meant livining in house with a garden.
The new outer suburban developments are located on the fringes of urban development, where the land is cheap but the blocks are comparatively small. There few gardens to be seen. The front "yard"comes for anything but the smalest backyard.
The houses have no eves so they can be placed closer together and most require air-conditioners to counter the intensity of the western sun which comes unfiltered by trees or absobed by greenery.
These suburban developments represent a dramatic change in the experience of subrban living.Without a garden, there is no space for children to play outside and they must be taken, usually driven,to other locations for their outdoor recreation
there is hardly space for barbecue.
The severe 10 year drought which has ravaged much of south -eastern Australia has taken a different kind of toll on the garden of that region. Water restictions have forced gardens to make choices about which plants they will try to save.
Some people are installing rainwater tanks in to have their own water supply and thus maintain their own vision for their garden.
I had received my water bill yesterday it shows FIRST TIME 130 Litres used and same time last year 172.Quarterly account)This time "hardly used water" because we did had a showerly weather for a month.
I needs to carfully replants for scorching weather to come?
This is an importants meassage to my dear friends: I REGRET for invited my friends in here today Temper 19c-30c Celsios.
what are we going to do with Miss Catts Sis? awhile we are going to the beach? she has a lot of fur then she need to be stayed indoors otherwise she will be get sunburnt?
10/24/2009 Try 50, fit & fabulous.Life after 50 delivers the best birthday present of all-happiness - as more women enjoy deeper relationships and surer sense of self.
One of the best things about it is that you know more, that you're often wiser and you have more control...you can make choices.
Recent research by Melbourne psychologist Dr Amanda Deeks has found that in areas such as body image, intimate relationships, career and friendsships, many women over 50 are happier than they were earlier in their lives and we are NOT GRUMPY OLD WOMEN...
Getting older is for many women a positive time of taking stock of their lives and feeling in control.
Many women aged 50 and over feel freed from social pressures such as fixation on appearance."Women say,I've spent enough of my life worrying about my body image, now when I think about my body it's more about maintaining good health".
Women are also motivated by the sense that they have a finite time left."I might have 30 or 35 years left and I want to do with those years what I want to do.I've spent a lot of years prioritising other people's needs, and now it is my turn."
Older women continue to worry a lot about their children and grandchildren and ageing parents, often contributing financially to their adult children, for example with unpaid child care, free accommodation or cash towards things such as a deposit for a home or school fees.
The massive study has found that older women often score higher on measures of positive mental health. For example, they are less likely to suffer stress and depression than younger counterparts. Michiko says(I still suffer stress and depression likes younger women, perphaps my mental age is under 50?
My friends: Have a lovely weekend with your loved ones,
10/17/2009 Smack child with wooden spoon. The last Thursday morning that the victorian police are to investigate each of smacking brought to their attention and then dicide on what action they are going to take on each casses merits.
The victorian woman has been questioned by police and threatend to be charged with a assault after hitting her 9 year old daughter with a wooden spoon.
I think too much one way to protect child?
Children and teenagers today do not konw what consequences are due to this.
Also there is a big difference between a smack on the BOTTOM and BASHING.
The kids get away with too much these day. A little discipline is a good thing and kids need to know RIGHT from WRONG.
I had been chase with a broom for my son's when their were naughty boys lol!
The weather:As same showerly everyday BUT NO COMPLAINT for that our water's situation are getting better.
ATTENTION: My friend Arla IN FLORIDA...USA She has been a little depression about her space and she has wrote to said "GOOD BYE" on her space because NOBODY VISITS.
If you have a few minutes "Please visit her space to just say "hello"
10/10/2009 The Magic words! It was cold in the morning the temperatures has dropped to minus 4 degrees overnight.and top of 18 degrees it looks the way a beautiful weather in here TODAY.
From tomorrow back to showerly day, predict the weather forcast?
#1 No one is in change of your happiness but you.
#2 Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
#3 get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
#4 What other people think of you is none of your business.
#5 However good or bad situation is, it will change.
#6 Believe in miracles. Get outside everyday.Miracles are waiting everywhere.
#7 Envy is a waste of time you already have all you need.
#8 No matter how you feel, get up dress up and show up.
#9 Life isn't it tied with a bow,but it's still a gift.
#10 Don't wait the happiness, it need go out find them
Thank you my dear friend Shelly! 10/3/2009 It's about timeWorking parents fret about the hours they spend away from their children,But how do the Kids feel about it?
Dr Jennifer Baxter from the Australian Institute of Family Studies says the US eveidence supports Australian reseach that shows no durect cause and effect link between
mothers and fathers working and the developmental outcomes of chiledren.
The women are more highly educated these days and get a lot of pleasure out of work. It's an important part of their lives. It's similar for fathers."Mothers, in particular, says Baxter. do whatever they can do their childre aren't missing out, such as managing their work arrangements so they can be there at crucial times.
The large proportion of children wanted their parents to be less stressed when they were at home.Crucially, this was more importants to them than the amount of
parents spent with them. Quality rather than quantity was what mattered to children,it seemed.
What children think about their parents'attempts to find a work-life balance.
Darcy Bourke, 6 years says.
"Dad leaves for work before I get up,but Mum comes home last.
Mum goes overseas more than I do.
I think she should work about the same,as we wouldn't get much money[if she didn't],
so it wouldn't be very good.I'd like Dad to work about the same, too,
but I'd I like him to do a different job.
Last year he was the coach for my football team, but not this year.
I want him to have more time to do sport with me.If Mum was at home all the time,
I'd like to play on the DS or Wil with her-but not Hot Wheels,it's too hard for
her. Sometimes at school I miss my mum and dad.
On Mondays Wednesday and Thursdays I go to aftercare but on fridays Mum picks me up.
I'd like everyday to be Friday." Poor kid!
Lana Moody, 9 yaers says.
"Mum might work late or on weekends, Recently she went away for three nights and
my sister Ava and I missed her a whole lot. We would keep ringing every night.
Reading together is what I miss most when Mum's away. Dad's here
but she helps me better with my homework because Dad's doing paperwork to do with his job." Sorry little girl!
I picked two childrens from the six of childrens.
I thought of these childrens that when they reached an adult ages,
then they didn't have nice memory of their childfood?
I think it most our generation have had a warmth beautiful childfood?
In back days just simple way of life too.
It's nice to have money but they don't last longtime as precious in memory of between the child and
parents with their family.
9/26/2009 Right things to do!No Matter what kind of life you live we wanted a SINMPLER LIFE how could we?
I am finding my rutine are hard to follow.
MY PHILOSOPHY NOW ON LIFE WOULD BE TO DO EVERYTHING. YOU CAN. DON"T HOLD BACK.DON"T OVER DO IT, NEVER HOLD BACK OUT OF FEAR OF WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK.
But last Monday I did over played golf for 24 holes(normally 18 holes) 8-30 am to 2-30pm.
what happent was my friend rang me to said that she 'll be late there I started with other friends to six holes then finish off with my regular friend.
I REALLY ENJOYED (played very well) regetfully not on the competition day.
After that night I was very concerned about at night that even at middle of night I just moving around my back to see it still okay?
I never forgot about in back middle of last Dcember that I have had damage my back from triming back my English Box in the garden
Then I am getting back to normal from last month.
How SILLY WOMAN! I was just lucky to nothing to happent in my back. "Thank god!" I WOULD NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. 9/19/2009 Pedophile Ferguson Can't be forced out.The 62 years old was jailed for 14 years in 1988 in Brisbane for KIDNAPPING abd SEXUALLY MOLOSTING for KIDNAPPING and SEXUALLY MOLESTING THREE CHILDREN.
A mother of two young boys Robyn Smith said she felt sick when she saw the convicted Pedophile in the nighbourhood.
I cannot believe they've put this Mr Ferguson in a street full of children that has bushland and he lives at the of end of the street resident Sean Killgallon said.
Housing Minister David Borger says he does not believe the family suburb is an appropriate location for Mr Ferguson and he has instructed his department to take action. Mr Ferguson would be out of the suburb by the end of the day But his supportrs say it might not that easy.
Residents at last night's gathering said this is just something the govenment, the department, have to investigate. he does'nt deserve to live in society-he deserves to be outcast for the rest of his life??
Ferguson has told ABC that any attempt to remove him will be costly and that will seek substantial compensation.
he said he wants to see the money before he leaves the unit.
Ferguson yesterday AGREE to LEAVE HIS Ryde FLAT beacuse of local anger but he is reserving his right return.
The housing Departments has confirmed Ferguson's LEASE is for FIVE YEARS.
Ferguson said he moved the Ryde unit two weeks ago because he was sick and tired of being pushed around QUEENSLAND and that he thought it would be a fresh start.
I can understand that for the neighbourfood are complained about that and I'd be concerned for my grandchildren too.
Law change to allow Ferguson eviction.
the public housing lease Cancelled.
9/13/2009 Future Perfect? In a world obsessed with appearance, where are we to agening and beauty? A plastic surgeon ethicist,AD man and politician discuss the issue with broadcaster.
There is nothing new about beauty being aspirational; that been going on as long as we've walked on earth But does advertising use that to sell? Yes.
Even with experiments with babies they discovered babies can tell who is beautiful and We are all born to respond to in positive way.
So beauty isn't in the eye of that beholder! And the feminist ethos of being judged for who you are, that goes against the forces of nature?
The feminist idea is about saying it shouldn't be any different for wormen than men. Soon, thanks to advertisers,we won't be. Initialy,it was wormen who were told something's wrong with us can we be sold stuff. Now advertisers realise men are just as fertile ground.
That's very true "Because you're worth it" is now articulated by men in advertising.
There are people who shouldn't be having surgery. There are people who shouldn't be providing it.You can only be the best doctor you can.
So you never sell an operation off the rack you have to ask,"Why now? people often seek advice when they are distressed a relationship break-up,when people turn 50,martal stress, loneliness, job insecurity, financial stress.
Here's a good one- the day people wake up and see one of their parents in their face.
Ageing is a big one for wormen. Men age, and they may not like what it does, but they realise there are other reasons people are still attracted to them - money, status,But because wormen end-up less often with those things, they are more likely to focus on their looks and think.
The plastic surgeon said" I have concerns about the expectations of the patient, because they are not realistic. This is their version of normal-perfect breasts that they think are droopy Because they've never seen a normal breat. What about their their mothers?
Ashuman been has changed their body shape and face it most of everything as they can to better looking or sexey...
A back of years my mum said "it doesn't matter that how people looks it's important in their inside hearts. I 'd said half & half.
Although I really enjoy to see my children's face which I can seen in myself or my hubby's.
9/5/2009 The Migration taleToday is a beautiful spring weather and I'm on the computer for my regularly postinggggg..
About every two minites Australia gains another migrant.Australia's population growth of 1.9 per cent last year was one of the highst in the world.TEN YEARS AGO 18.5million AND NOW 22.8 million.
Over the past 10 years permanent migration has more doubled from 98,538 annually to 219,098. Add to that, more than 65,000 temporary migrants have arrived in Australia this year. They were comprised of more than 100,000 skilled workers on 457 visas, more than 320,000 foreign students and more than 187,000 people on working holidays. Many temporary migrants can then apply for permanent residency.
Without those extra 400,000 people who came into the coutry,it's quite likely that our aggregate economic growth would have been NEGATIVE.
The results are all around us,A recession we technically didn't have a gravity defying housing market, extensions to Melbourne's urban boundaries,a vibrant CBD but with TRANSPORT,SHORTAGE OF WATER and other infranstructure groaning under the wight of the biggest influx of migrants since World War II.
The question we need to ask ourselves is do we want economic growth or do we want a good quality of life? Those two things are not the same thing.
As a nation we are jeopardising all the things we love about living in Australia.
If we do have to have significant numbers of migrants,we have to have strong ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES.
The Father's days on this Sunday. 06-09.(Australia) I hope all Father's enjoy with your families.
To my friends: Enjoy your weekends.

8/15/2009 The Rain-starved capital cityI wasn'going to post today but here is now in last week one night I was scrambling around trying to mock up some kind of tent over the a little of a very frost sensitive Hibiscus plant.
The danger was that I could cause more damage to the flowers then I 'd break branches of it.
It was the first time I'd gone to the trouble of trying to protect such a plant though maybe these days not much plants in my gardens?
I'll bleams for the dry weather and in water restricted for a long time. Melbourne is carving a new reputation as Australia's driest capital city, giving further credence to dire bushfire warnings for the coming summer.
Anyway I should move to a place like under the eaves, why is not thinking before silly me.
Sure it's cold outside, but that doesn't mean I shouldnt play golf Mind you, I confess it is tempting to stay home.
One day was heavenly though.Cold and misty at first but by mid-day gloriously sunny and not a breath of wind.
Today the temperature is 16c now and it should be go up to 19c but the gray & gloomy skies with strong wind showerly weather?
Only few days have had really cold days thats not bad, there I'm looking forward to the beautiful spring time to come though even I get a bad heyfever lol!

8/1/2009 The Bowlingual Voice.
Japanese inventors have come up with a talkeing device they claim can"TRANSLATE" a dog's emotion from its bark. The Bowlingual Voice, produced by Japanese toymaker Takara Tommy, is a talking gadget that analyses the acoustics of A DOG"S BARK and TRANSLATES the findings into HUMAN WORDS. It would be a good idea for THE CAT"S AS WELL? How about for Miss Catt :-) she can said to her mum" I don't wanted go to the vet now maybe late on" lol! The gadget focuses on the detection of SIX EMOTIONS including sadness, joy and frustration The gadget consists of a microphone that goes around the dog's neck and hand held unit operating device. When the dog barks the microphone records the sound and sends the data to the owner's hand-hand device which then"translates" it into what the dog is apparently trying to say.An answering machine function records the dog's wants when owners are absent. The original Bowlingual, which was not a talking device but translated emotions on to a screen,SOLD MORE THAN 300,000 units in Japan when it was launched. The new Bowlingual Voice was unveiled at the Tokyo Toy Fair. Tuna breeding shows billion dollar promise Breding the southern bluefin tuna in capivity has long been considered the holy grail for the Australian tuna industry. The tuna has almost been wiped out by overfishing, and a sustainble fishry seemd little more than an ambitions dream. But this week at a South Australian hatchery,a young fish of 25 centimetres reached a milestone birthday 100 days, more than five times what captive breeders have been able to achieve previously. Clean seas chairman Hagen Stehr said:"Young Tuna has never been held that long before onshore". The project involving the Australian Seafood Co-operative Research Centre, the Fisheies reseach Development Corporation and the South Australian Research and Development Insitute ,aim to produce 250,000 bluefin at the hatchery outside Arno Bay on the Eyre Peninsula by 2015."There's a commercial industry in the making of immense proportion,It will be a billion dollar industry. Worldwide demand for the southern bluefin tuna is rising.Japan takes about 80%per cent of the catch. The young fish were spawned in April after adult females were given HORMONE INJECTIONS. At the Fish market you can buy a big FAT prawns which is imports from China, some people are not interested in it that inclued me.One day I saw a Whitebait then I read where is come from it said VietNam in a tiny writen that impossible to read without a glaseslol! In future I would rather not eat Tuna either. Pump up hormone into the fish. well! I'd rather eat vegetable. 7/25/2009 The Copycat Suicides.Article from: The Australian.
Chanelle Rae was beautiful, bubbly and devoted fan of the Geelong Football Club. And on Friday night she became the fourth student of the same state high school to commeit suicide this year, raising serious concerns about cyber-bullying and copyact suicides.
The death of the 14 year-old schoolgiel, who was adored her parents, brothers and friends, has reopend wounds at the co-educational Western Heights College in Geelong.
In Febuary,14-year-old Natalie Rowe, who battled with bipolar disorder and briefly attended Western Hights College last year, took her own life.
A monthe later Zac Harvey,15 a handsome, sporty teenager who was well-liked at high school made the decision to kill himself. Three weeks later Zac's deveastated girlfrind of 2 1/2 yeras,Taylor Janssen, 16,joind her boyfrind in death.
Taylor's mother,Helen Janssen, last night told The Australian that Taylor left her family a note saying she loved them but she couldn't live without Zac.
She kiled herself to the music that was played at his funeral.
Since February,Natalie's older broth, Thomas Row,17,has got very little sleep. He told The Australian that he stayed up most nights, talking on his anti-suicide website,Gravity,to other young people in Geelong and across Australia who are contemplating talking the same,DESPERATE ACTION.
"There needs to be a clearer understanding that young people are more prone to keeping their feelings inside.
I try to get the message out there that you are not alone, that everybody feels it"
Taylor and Zac had spoken about death. It was a Romeo and Juliet type thing, they had said if one was to go the other would too, she said. "They were star-crossed lovers".
But Ms Janssen said she expected that her daughter was"getting a little bit of flack from school" in the three weeks after Zac had taken his own life.
Chanelle's mother,Karen Rae warned other parents to keep their kids off the rotten internet" She revealed her daughter recived an online threat in the hours before she took her own life on Friday night.
The only further clue came from Chanelle's best friend Georgina Probert, who last night told The Austraian that some students had begun teasing Chanelle about her appearance."CYBER-BULLYING is a problem but I don't really think there is anyway we could stop it".she said.
That I agree to Georgina, How could stop to used the computers? These days all school used computers at their class plus internet, some people said small percentage children are wrongly used internets? but I hated to seen young people commited suicide.
I'm deeply saddened by this death. my thought about with the very deepest of sympathy with her family. 7/18/2009 YOUNG DRIVERSThe heartbroken parents of a teenage girl killed and others four after a crash at the intersection last month. deadly blackspot interssection last month welcomed the speed and planned up grade.but said it could never replace the lives lost. Too little, too late!
It mostly males are overly confident, believing they are better drivers than they really are and so,"it wan't happen to me" there's a reason they are called"probationary" drivers they are not yet good enough to hold a full licence!
We all know kids do dumb things on the spur of the moment, and unfortunately, some pay the ultimate price.
The road horror headlines will continue to flood our midia unless something is done about our archaic licensing system.
Vehicles have changed over the years and still have the capacity to go 200km/h on public road? Why we need to have fast cars?
Getting a licence is an easy revenue raiser for the Government, but actually being taught to handle a vehicle and to be a compulsory part of gaining the right to drive.
It might not be a popular choice for the Government, but why should a younger driver's first mistake possibly be their last?
Yonger drivers that having a licence comes with a great deal of responsibility. We need to introduce compulsory lessons with licensed driving instructors for all learners.
I used to stayed up after 12-00 midnight till my son's come home on the weekend, I guess! all mother's had been as same as I was? 7/11/2009 Gadget repair rortsFurious customers face maddening delays to fix fridges,TVs.DVD players and other appliances that break down soon after purchase.
Consumers buying gadgets such as home entertainment systems, whitegoods and mobile phone handsets are geting caught in repair limbo for up to several month.
A magjor report reveals faulty products and SLOPPY REPAIR S are costing Victorians more than $1.6 billion a year in expenses and wasted time.
BUYERS FUME OVER FAULTY APPLIANCES,POOR REPAIRS AND LACK OF HELP.
The damning studay, commissioned by the state's consumer watchdog, follows soaring complaints over defective home entertainment equipment, fridges, diswashers, computers, camers, mobile(Cell) phones and other appliances. Claims to consumer Affairs Victoria include:
MOBILE phone users battling to get new handsets despite products failing just days after purchase.
COMPANIES replacing faulty phones with inferior models.
PLASMA TV that developed faults a month after purchase took four months to repair, and still had problems.Complaint lodged after two further repair sagas and delays
of several months.
FRIDGE and washing machine makers insisting on repairing recurring faults instead of replacing appliances.
The report has sparked calls for clearer laws, better enforcement and industry guidelines for warranty and refund claims because mass confusion is stripping some customers of proper compensation.
The study,Warranties and refunds in the electronic goods, quality could be compromised to meet comsumer lust for latest technology at cheaper price.
Shoppers are automatically entitled to ask for refunds, replacements or repairs if products fail to live up to reasonable expectations.
These rights are separate to manufacture warranties, and do not have a set time limit.
The length of time consumers are entitled to seek conpensation will depend on the type of product and it cost.
But the study found many traders rely only on manufacturer warranties with strit time limits, exclusions and refunds as a "last resort". Afederal review of warranty conditions is being held. 7/4/2009 Have a great weekend! 1 Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2 When in doubt, just take the next step.
3 Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4 your job won't take care of you when you are sick your friends and parents will.stay in touch.
5 you don't have to win every argument.Agree to disagree.
6 Cry with someone. Its more healing than crying alone.
7 When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
8 Make peace with your past it won't screw up the present.
9 Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
10 Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry,God never blinks.
