Slapper happy

FIRST, CATCH YOUR YOUNG girl. Careful.Beware the skiittish, touchy ype withe a "Whatchufrickin wantnow?"
look slippery little sucker, that one. She'll slit your Zen-like calm as quick as look at you. To lasso her properly, promise phone credits,
leg waxing, hair appointments. Cash,as a backup. That should soothe her to a simmer. Now,trick her gently away from mobiles,iPods,Tvs,Thinking
sundry girlfriends equipped with all of the above. Sit her down.
Say(with best smiley happy face and not that panicked glint you get in these rare parenral moments): This is what mums and dads used to do in the olden days before they lost the ability to from words such as 'No", 'Mustn't' and, Because I said so" Thinking
Ignore how she bristles and straightens at this point,Especilaly ignore the horror welling in her eyes. plouh doggedly on: Darling,Sweetie. That frock is too small. No I don't mean you're fat.No size 10 is definitely not morbidly obese for a 14-year-old theses days.No I don't mean, you need a bigger size frock.
I mean, you need MORE frock down here, and more up here.sweetie.Precious. I can see your knickers when breath in. I can see your barely-bigger-than -Monte-carlo-biscuits breasts when you breath out. Eye-rolling

These day young girl age of 7 -year old already on diet and she wishs to A FACE-LIFT on her face to just likes the catwalk top of the model.Confused
Some younger girls are swim against in the tough world.Disappointed
What is wrong in the young girls?  How to tell your daughter you can see her inner slut, among other things. Thinking
Daring Sweetie.Precious.Princess.NO. Mustn't.Because I said so. Red heart
These are lot of the mums to be cocerned about it their young daughters.Thinking Red heart

BINGE DRINKING

Bing drinking is a useful term that indicates an excessive,UNHEALTHYand DANGEROUS LEVEL of drinking."BINGE" drinkers aim to get DRUNK,Tongue out
often as quickly as possible. It is disappinting to see what risks they are taking when choosing to CONSUME ALCOHOL.Thinking
We understanding "risky dinking" one that includes immedaiate risks such as VIOLENCE,SEXUAL ASSAULT and CAR ACCIDENTS.Sad

Some parents buy their children high alcohol mixed drinks for parties in the mistaken belief they are itroducing them to responsible drinking.
Parents are also providing or turning BLIND EYE to their childern getting IDs so they can binge drink at schoolies week.SadAngry
It is now routine for parents to drive their under age children to licensed"after parties". Smile

Teenagers did not invent binge drinking.Their grandfathers were pretty handy at during the so called "Six O'clock sweill"in the 1970s.Eye-rolling
When men would line up pots on the bar to scull before weaving their way home. Tongue out
But some people's awareness about  the issues surrounding SAFE DRINKING and encourages them to reflect on their own drinking habits. Smile

When I was young age 18 "YES" I get drunk at my friends birthdat party at her's home and after two daysWilted rose

Adults only

There can be few relationship breakdowns as sad as between parents and estranged adult children. As the mother of two children in their early 20s,Thinking
I know how joyful and deeply rewarding the relationship between adults of different ages can be. Wink
As parent you continue to feel tremendously interested in your children's lives and wellbeing.Red heart    You go on feeling vulnerable for and about them. Smile
Yet there is also an increasing experience of ease and mutuality once you are no longer resposible for their daily care.Eye-rolling
And a welcome sense that you have lots to from their fresh and absolutely contemporary way of looking at the world.

But I am also aware that in some, the adult children merely tolerate their parents or find them dull and to be avoided other than when money is needed,or babysitting. In others, adult children create distance by being aggressive or activerly abusive.Eye-rolling
There are also parents who can't adjust to changed reality and continue to treat their adult children like children, making assumotions about them,
telling them how they should live, crossing emotional and physical boundaries without the smallest degree of embarrassment or regret.Thinking

Love between adult children and their parents is singularly intimate, but gives nether side the right to intrude, manipulate or bully or waste a lifetime wallowing in resentment. The adult child needs to see their parents not just as " parents"but as flawed, complex human beings.Tongue out
just as crucially, parents need to see their children not as children only.Smile
complete with middle-aged spread or children of their own,but as beloved yet definitely separate humanbeings-with whom love can change and grow.Wink

My way of thinking for adult children: best way leave to them alone? Wink  All parents has an individual love to their children.Red heart

The billion dollar kidney bazaar that once thrived in Pakistan has been SHUT DOWN, forcing thousands of people to look eleswhere for a donnor.
Lax regulation in Pakistan permitted the rise of a kidney transplant industry that attracted buyers from around the world.
But the market colapsed after the Government banned the trade in human organs a few month ago.
Private hospitals specialising in kidney transplants have been hard hit and desperate Patients from Western countries have been disappointed.

Aadil Hospital had been doing about 500 kidney transplants a year for foreigners. Each cost about $A27,000.
Most Pakistani Kidney donors were poor villagers. Many were eager to sell a kidney to settle debts or pay for the marriage of daughter or sister.

Under the new regime, only close relatives can donate a kidney in Pakistan, except in rare circumstances. Foreigners can still have transplants,
but only if they provide their own donor from outside the country.

New technology in victoria supermarkets Do it youeself, the self-serve checkouts are where people with small baskets tend to go,
whilest the larger baskets tend to gravitate toward the traditional manned checkout.
Potential shoplifters would be prevented from baging items without scanning tham through technology that calculates the weight of products.
If the bag weight does not match the checkout's calclation, staff are alerted to the discrepancy.

The customer can select the method of payment on the touch screen. Cheques cannot be used.
The check outs dispense petrol reward dockets "spent over $30 dollars receive 4c per litre off the pump price."
Customers have the option of cash out with or witut purchase. At least one member of staff is nearby to supervise.
There is a little tric of person at gas station said " Would you like to buy the Chocolaet bar for two for five dollars and you get 6c discounts ....
without thinking I said okay then after I thought about the deal is totally it taken by this fine looking a young man" NO MORE CHOCOLAET BAR LOL!

        AND WHAT THE SHOPPERS SAY...

        B. I wouldn't use them by choice because I'm lazy and I prefer they do it and I think it's faster.

        C. I like being able to pack my own groceries I do most of my grocery shopping here at lunch time.I shop on my lunch break.

        D. I myself thiking that agrees with A. But depending on the how much shopping if it too many I'd rather they do it.
The new checkouts,is expected to reach more than 200 supermarkets by next year. The overseas with major international retailers such as Tesco's used it.

BOAD rage is bad enough. But what worried the driver of this car was that he was about become a victim of rogue rage.
When a six-ton elephant suddenly lumbered over to South African safari park,Rico Beltrame and sister, Angela, feared it was going to reduce the vehicle to scrap metal--with them inside.Crying

However, the giant tusker turned out be more curious than crased. coming to halt alongside te car,it plonked its massive trunk firmly acrs the roof, slightly denting it.
A park ranger shouted over to Mr Beltrame to switch off his engin, which he did with a trembling hand.  Sick

Slave children traded

Thousands of children are being SOLD "LIKE CABBAGES"to China's boomimg factories as virtual slave labour.Angry
Young people some less than 10 are said to have been discovered being bought and sold at a street market in Szechuan,
one of rural China's most overpopulated provinces.

According to investigative reporters, the children stood in line as they were ASSESSED like CATTLE,Sad
before being driven on trucks to factories in the Pearl River Delta,China's manufacturing heartland.
The abuses might have begun to rise in recent years, prompting businesses to seek new ways to cut costs.Thinking

A reporter, posing as a clothing factory manager, was allowed to inspect would be "employees" by patting their arms and stomaches.
He agreed to pay them 3.5yuan(about 50cents) an hour. Many had fake papers saying they were over 18: when asked most were between 13 and 15.
One was seven, another nine.  The hundreds of children being sent to electronics and toy factories .. All MADE IN CHINA "Slave poor children.Sick

Many come from the same area of Sicuan Liangshan country were 76 children have een reported as missing since the Chineses New Year in February.Confused
A hudreds of young men were found working as slave labour in a string of brick kilns across northern China.Lured with promises of high wages,Disappointed
they were locked up and, in some cases, beatern to death. That prompted the passing of a long awaited labour law aimed at better protecting workers' rights.

The Mother's day

The mother's day 11th May all of the world The Mother's who had children would celebrate on the day with their children.

But remember!       Your children are not your children they are the sons and daughters of life's longing for itself.

They come though you but not from you. And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

yoy may give them your love but not your thoughts.

For they have thier own thoughts.

You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.

For life goes not backwood nor tarries with yesterday.

To my friends : Wish Happy Mother's Days and Have a wonderful time with your children .Red heartRed rose
And who don't have children : Have a  wonderful weekend with your loved ones Red heartRed rose

Take care of yourself.

How many of us are not living our dreams? What's stopping us? And what does dedicating ourselves to closing the gap between what we wanted for our lives and how we are actually living them have to do with ethics? Eye-rolling

Some of us have no choice but to sell ourselves short. Perhaps we are the main bread winners in households that barely scrape by or, as was the case for a young woman I know, are the only possible carer for a dependant relative. Maybe the needs and wants of our partners or children are incompatible with ours, and must  take precedence in the short or ling term.Tongue out

For others, however the picture is less clear. Research over decades confirms that beyond the level of income needs, additional income does not increase our life satifaction.Thinking  Despite this many of us work longer hours than we want at jobs we despise in the desperate hope that one more purchase will finally deliver the happiness our consumerist culture promises.Red rose

Most of us know that the best way to get the measure of our own lives is to imagine ourselves on our deathbeds looking back at our choices and deeds.Wink

When what we do conflicts with our values,in other words,it is our values that tend to give way,So in the same way that those who wish to believe in God should simply start praying, those who want to keep faith with the life they are living need do little more than continue to live it.Red rose

For what it's worth,I need to say that I don't think it's good enough,No matter OUR AGE,or the things we've said or done in the past, IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO LIVE THE EXAMINED LIFE.  To remember the DREAMS we had for ourselves the talents we sought to develop, the contribution we wished to make during our lifetimes and to put them into action.
TO SPRINT TOWARDS THE FINISH LINE,BEFORE IT"S TOO LATE.  TO: ALL MY FRIENDS.Red heartLeft hugRight hug

Babies waiting for urgent surgery

BABIES are waiting months for urgent open heart surgery as the Royal Children's Hospita cardiac department HITS CRISIS POINT.Sick
At its worst, some babies have had operations postponed seven times.Sad
The Age show that this year the hospital has averaged 16 cardic surgery cancellationn a week Thirty were canceled in the first 10 days of this month.Angry

The official explanation given for most is the hospital's LACK OF INTENSIVE CARE BEDS,NEEDED TO CARE FO CHILDREN AFTER SURGERY.Disappointed
But the main problems was a LACK OF NURSES to staff the beds, We have the equipment, the facilities the theatre time, and we have fantastic,world-class
surgeons, but we need specialised nurses with intensive-care TRAINING. SnailEmbarrassed

Dominic turned one a week ago Four days after his birth,he was diagnosed with a heart murmur and Fallot's tetralogy, a dangerous condiation in which blood leaks through a hole between two heart chambers, leaving the baby with reduced blood flow through the lungs and tendency to turn blue.Sad
Left untreated,it can lead to difficulty feeding, failure to gain weight, retarded growth and physical development, and EVENTUALLY HEART  FAILURE.Sad
Some surgeons said "he could go on for six month without surgery but the optimum time to have surgery was now"Thinking

One years old Dominic Siber, with mother had five cancellations because of overcrowding at the Royal Children Hospital before his open  surgery. Smile
SCHEDULED TO OPEN IN 2011.the new hospital will be closer to $1 billon but what happents in the means time with BABIES BOOMS?
IT WOULD BE OTHE WAY AROUND THAT THE HOSPITAL BUILT FIRST? Eye-rolling

The Baby boom.

For the past 30 years CHINA'S controversial ONE -CHILD policy has been credited with keeping the country's population at a manageable level by reducing the number of births by an estimated 400 million.
But official's worried about an ageing population and severe gender imbalance because of the traditional preference for SONS,
are considering whether the policy should be scrapped or significantly changed. To restrict family size since the 1970s.The rules vary but usually limit urban families to ONE CHILD,
rural families to TWO and give ethnic minorities a higher allowance.
The system has caused bitterness because rich and corrupt communist party officials, who can afford THE FINES.
The women were being forced to have abortions and sterlisations.
China 's population would grow to 1.5 billion by 2033 with birth rates set to soar over the next five years.

The Australia's fertility rate has been declining since the 1970s and, while it has recently increased,it is still well below replacement levels of 2.1 babies for every woman. In the mid 30-39 started breeding like bunnies, they get the baby bonus$4000 from the Government and many women in Australia already have access to paid maternity leave 14 weeks. funded by their employer.

There was barely a spare crib at St Vincents & Mercy Private Hospital 8-April 2008 after THE EIGHTH set of twins to be born there in a month arrived after lunch.

These stories were bright way but other side stories is not happiest ones...To be continued next Saturday.

That funny feeling

Have you ever made a truly awful decision, and berated yourself later because at some level you actually did know what you were getting into?
Or have you ever quite spontaneously done something that seems to make no sense, only to find that it has rewarded you exceptionally?

We human beings are different from animals in countless ways, but one of the way in which we are at least somewhat similar is that we too are creatures of
instinct.   From the first moments of life we are driven and in many ways protected by a vast rang of instincts, most of which we barely need to acknowledge consiously. However when we think about getting through life and talking the best possible care of ourselves as well as other people,we ignore at our peril those special istincts that are close to intuitions but somehow even more primal.

Anyone who lives with animals knows how finely tuned their instincts are,not just sensing any degree of unfriendliness or danger but also knowing
when someone is ill,sad or grieving and offering unobtrusive comfort.

In everyday language we talk not just about"following our nose" but also about"gut feelings" those mysterious moments when it seems your body knows more than your mind does.Whether related to your health, child rearing, choices at work, love affairs or a vast range of everday decisions,
you can easily discover how your body literally  relaxes and expands in the face of some inner urgings, and tense an contracts in the face of others.
Trusting this more instinctive way of preceiving takes courage. It certainly doen't mean setting analysis or good sense aside.

Sometimes you will be completely wrong. But there will also be times when you are right and,as with any other skill. this one rapidly improves with experiment and reflection.
